Our will is the faculty that rules supreme. It is the queen of all faculties, our internal and external sense, our powers and passions. To govern the will is to govern the whole human being, and that means the body too. Because of its weakness our will aspires to a degree of autonomy or independence with respect to the will of God. God's will sanctify us unless it asks for some sacrifice. Faced with this choice we often recoil.♥

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is ----- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
